It's only a matter of time before we're all wearing rhinestones. Nudie suits rule.

Download NOMADS for FREE!

Howdy all!
For a very limited time you can download our Nomads 7" ABSOLUTELY FREE! How fucking exciting is that?! Click the button below to head to our Bandcamp and get your mits on it.
Tell your friends!
If you like it, come along to a show on the weekend and pick up a copy of little black circular version. Also if you're feeling generous or if you're totally ballin', you can choose to pay a small amount for it (this damn thing cost us a ton of money to make, after all).

We're playing with Blueline Medic

Wanna hear a story?
When I was in year 11 my school subjected us to a skiing camp. Camping in the snow in shitty tents for 5 days, learning to cross country ski by falling down hills and throwing hissy fits. We weren't allowed to bring discmans (the most popular portable music device at the time), my solution to having no music to listen to was to repeat Blueline Medic's "The Apology Wars" cover to cover in my head. I still remember every detail of that record and it's maybe my favorite Australian album of all time.

On Thursday night (the 19th) we're playing with Blueline for our first show at The Reverence hotel, the new venue from the masterminds behind our old favorite pub The Arthouse. I can't think of a more perfect introduction.

See y'all there.

Chucking a Mosh 1st birthday show - Photos + Video

Our first couple of shows with our new dogg Stu have come and gone and by geez did we have a good time! The Chucking a Mosh birthday show was a real cracker, Coops and the gang really packed out Laundry and everyone on the bill did great. We had a blast, Stu really killed it for his first show too. Chucking a Mosh's resident photographer and general legend Matt Hunter (MattHunterPhoto) was shooting some photos - have a squiz.

There's more of us from this gallery and plenty from Gold, Right Mind, Declaration and The Mung over HERE

Welcoming STU to the fold!

The Union Pacific is proud to welcome Stu Nish to the band! Our new bloke behind the tubs.

Stu makes his debut with us TOMORROW NIGHT at Laundry for the HUGE Chucking A Mosh birthday show!

See yas there!

God damn laziness!

The old Union Pacific doesn't come by blogspot much anymore...... What a bunch of idiots....

So we've done a bunch of shit in the last little while. Chris has moved to Berlin so we've got a new drummer, Stu. He comes to us from alt country dark lords The Death Rattles.

Our debut 7" Nomads has been released and is for sale up on our Bandcamp page! For ten bones (+three for postage) you get yourself a 7" sent out to your house and a download RIGHT AWAY!

Definitely going to make some better efforts to stay up to date and quit neglecting the blog.

Peace.

The Union Pacific makes it's maiden voyage!

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 24 - 2012
We'd been waiting for this day for a long while, our first trip interstate to play with our good buddies in Grenadiers. The trip stepped up a notch when our other good buddies in Luca Brasi needed a ride, I can't think of 4 dudes I'd rather share a van with. The drive was pretty uneventful and slow as the drive to Adelaide tends to be, until we grabbed a bunch of beers in Bordertown. The second half of the drive flew by!
Adelaide was jumping when we arrived and we realised it was the opening night of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Probably not the greatest news for our show but excellent news for fun times afterwards. Jesse put us to work spruiking the show to the masses, who didn't too much care for a punk rock show with so much else happening but we ended up getting at least 3 people coming down who we'd given a flyer to! Success!
The Jade Monkey is a great venue in Adelaide, unfortunately word was getting around on the day of the show that it's soon to be closing it's doors. Lots of friends and familiar faces made it down to the show, Bridges, featuring at least one member of Paper Arms, were great and super rockin'. We played next and were suddenly feeling those Bordertown beers. I've been told multiple times since that drinking on the way is "a trap for young players". It was possibly one of our worst played shows to date but we had a blast. It's a shame that the Luca Brasi guys have seen us play 2 times and both have been completely awful. They were next and they put us to shame. Super tight, great songs, great vibe and a bunch of bloody handsome chaps. Local heroes and old pals Grenadiers played last and took us all to school. Big thanks for Jesse for having us on the show and Jimmy for giving us a place to stay. Check out Capital Sound Studios and get bloody recorded. It's righteous!

Check out some photos from our set! Big thanks to Alex Kwong for shooting.

Looking at these photos it's no wonder I had no voice left after these shows.
Check out our Facebook for more photos.

Sydney chapter coming soon....
Peace.
